Pilar Rodrigo is a professor specializing in early childhood education and pedagogy. Her Master’s is in ICT in Education, and her doctorate is in Education Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM).

She mainly teaches in early childhood education centers, youth areas, organizations for the social and workforce integration of the socially disadvantaged, and organizations for people with intellectual disabilities. She has served as an associate professor in the UAM’s Faculty of Education since 2011, evaluator of the Expert Council of Social Pedagogy Journal at Pablo de Olavide University (Seville), and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal Educational Trends of the Department of Theory and Teaching Education at UAM.

Her doctoral project focused on youth and digital competences in non-formal education, and her research topics include leisure as a factor in human development, youth policies at a supranational level, and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce and society.

She is a member of the research group GIPDI (Research Group for Social Inclusion and Employment of Persons with Intellectual Disability), recognized by UAM, where she is the technological coordinator and the coordinator of research on Leisure Management.

She also belongs to the Iberoamerican Society of Social Pedagogy (SIPS), as well as its group Young Researchers of Social Pedagogy (JIPS).
