Mireia Sala is a sociologist and holds a master’s degree in Applied Social Research from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and in the Information and Knowledge Society from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).

She currently works as a researcher at the Catalan Youth Observatory of the Catalan Youth Agency and is an associate professor at the University of Girona.

She has participated in the development of the Catalan Youth Survey 2017 and is a member of the working group on youth of the Catalan Sociology Association and of the Research Committee on Youth Studies of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES). Previously, she worked as a research technician for the Centre for Sociological Studies on Daily Life and Work (QUIT) and for the UAB’s Research Group on Education and Work (GRET); and for the UOC’s Knowledge and Information Management in Organizations (KIMO) research group. Its areas of research are methodology, youth, the labour market and social inequalities.
